Implementation of production methods to ensure equivalent quality inputs and defect control
The productivity of a PA12 tube extrusion line has been steadily decreasing for several years.
The industrialist wants to correct this trend, return to acceptable productivity, and then improve it.
This manufacturing is historic, the knowledge associated with this fabrication has been transmitted by word of mouth and as the years passed, the movements and original principles have been lost.
The documentation is nonexistent or unusable in production.
SCIPROD has proposed to work on two axes:
1 - Training staff on the basics of extrusion of technical polymers.
2 - Implementing methods of control for each stage of production.
The staff has been trained in the principles of extrusion and now integrate an analysis of the situation before any modification.
Production follow-up documentation has been put in place with a control before starting on each critical point of the line, such as the humidity rate of PA12 before drying and before extrusion.
